With the Sealed PTQ Season well under way, I decided that it will be a good idea to do a Draft Walkthrough again to help you get ready for your upcoming PTQ. As I said in my last article, I really want to qualify for PT Valencia so I have been drafting nearly every day on Magic Online to prepare as I only have one more shot at qualifying (we only get one PTQ per season here). My results so far have been very good so hopefully you can learn a thing or two about drafting this format!
Pack 1 Pick 1:
Psychic Intrusion
Shipwreck Singer
Thassa’s Emissary
Dauntless Onslaught
Lash of the Whip
Akroan Crusader
Nessian Courser
Pharika’s Cure
Disciple of Phenax
Ray of Dissolution
Opaline Unicorn
Vaporkin
Gray Merchant of Asphodel
Mountain
Gainsay
Foil
My Pick: Thassa’s Emissary
This pack was very strong with the main cards being Thassa’s Emissary, Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Shipwreck Singer as well as some other solid cards such as Dauntless Onslaught, Lash of the Whip, Nessian Courser and Vaporkin. Thassa’s Emissary and Shipwreck Singer are both one of the best uncommons while Gray Merchant of Asphodel is actually the best common in the set. I believe the Emissary and the Gray Merchant are about the same power level but I chose to take the Emissary here as I think blue is the strongest color and Gray Merchant usually involves a more focused Black deck whereas the Emissary is easier to splash. We definitely donât take the Shipwreck Singer here as it’s muti-colored and you want to try stay open in this format.
Pack 1 Pick 2:
Glare of Heresy
Evangel of Heliod
Karametra’s Acolyte
Akroan Crusader
Vulpine Goliath
Wingsteed Rider
Pharika’s Cure
Fade into Antiquity
Aqueous Form
Satyr Hedonist
Lagonna-Band Elder
Portent of Betrayal
Yoked Ox
Mountain
My Pick: Wingsteed Rider
Wingsteed Rider is by far the best card in this pack. It is one of the best commons in the set and one of the main reasons to go into white. Other than the Rider, there really isn’t much in this pack with the next best card being Karametra’s Acolyte
Pack 1 Pick 3:
Temple of Abandon
Anvilwrought Raptor
Baleful Eidolon
Cavern Lampad
Spark Jolt
Divine Verdict
Fleetfeather Sandals
Opaline Unicorn
Gods Willing
Lagonna-Band Elder
Spearpoint Oread
Bronze Sable
Island
My Pick: Divine Verdict
The standout cards in the pack are Baleful Eidolon and Divine Verdict while playable cards include Cavern Lampad, Gods Willing and Spearpoint Oread. Although Baleful Eidolon is a better card, I chose to take Divine Verdict here as we’ve already passed both Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Lash of the Whip so the player on my left should be moving in on black and we don’t want to fight for it in Pack 2. Instead I prefer to take the Divine Verdict which goes with the Wingsteed Rider I took before.
Pack 1 Pick 4:
Pharika’s Mender
Battlewise Hoplite
Blood-Toll Harpy
Coastline Chimera
Sedge Scorpion
Nessian Courser
Benthic Giant
March of the Returned
Stymied Hopes
Dragon Mantle
Forest
Ill-Tempered Cyclops
Foil
My Pick: Battlewise Hoplite
Pharika’s Mender and Battlewise Hoplite are the best cards in the pack and since our first three picks have all been UW, I chose to take the one in my colors. It is worth noting we’ll be passing Sedge Scorpion and Nessian Courser which are both very solid green cards. Hopefully the player on our left will be on black and/or green so we don’t have to fight for cards in Pack 2.
Pack 1 Pick 5:
Stoneshock Giant
Crackling Triton
Two-Headed Cerberus
Chosen by Heliod
Felhide Minotaur
Nimbus Naiad
Commune with the Gods
Titan’s Strength
Spearpoint Oread
Deathbellow Raider
Island
My Pick: Nimbus Naiad
The best card by a far margin in an otherwise empty pack. I think Nimbus Naiad is one of the top three commons in the format and is just behind Gray Merchant of Asphodel. There are a couple of solid red cards such as Two-Headed Cerberus, Titan’s Strength, Spearpoint Oread and Deathbellow Raider. We’ve been passed a wide range of cards so far so I’m not really sure what the player on my right is on.
Pack 1 Pick 6:
Peak Eruption
Spellheart Chimera
Annul
Wingsteed Rider
Cavalry Pegasus
Satyr Rambler
Viper’s Kiss
Staunch-Hearted Warrior
Nessian Asp
Mountain
My Pick: Wingsteed Rider
Sweet! We managed to pick up another Wingsteed Rider which sends a pretty clear signal that the player on our right is not on white. There’s also a Nessian Asp (how good was this pack?!?!) which the player on our left should be happy about as we’ve been feeding them some very good green cards.
Pack 1 Pick 7:
Evangel of Heliod
Vulpine Goliath
Leonin Snarecaster
Felhide Minotaur
Fleshmad Stee
Lagonna-Band Elder
Nylea’s Disciple
Plains
Priest of Iroas
Foil
My Pick: Evangel of Heliod
The only good card in the pack for our colors. With Nylea’s Disciple still in the pack, it is pretty clear that green is wide open. However I think it is too late to switch now as we have been passing too many good green cards that the player on our left must be in green so we’ll be receiving nothing good in Pack 2.
Pack 1 Pick 8:
Dark Betrayal
Boulderfall
Observant Alseid
Caalry Pegasus
Satyr Rambler
Demolish
Nylea’s Disciple
Swamp
My Pick: Observant Alseid
Pretty sweet pick up for our deck. I rate the card pretty highly as the Bestow and Vigilance helps you create an evasive threat that can also block. Another Nylea’s Disciple?!?! Player on our left must be stoked right now!
Pack 1 Pick 9:
Psychic Intrusion
Shipwreck Singer
Nessian Courser
Pharika’s Cure
Disciple of Phenax
Ray of Dissolution
Mountain
My Pick: Ray of Dissolution
So all the good GB cards managed to wheel (Nessian Courser, Pharika’s Cure and Disciple of Phenax) and it’s pretty clear that we have been cut from blue. Had we first picked the Gray Merchant and gone into GB, our deck would probably be insane right now. Problem is we can’t really move off UW now since we’ve been passing too many good green and black cards that there is no way the player on our left will not be in those colors. We just have to hope there’s a lot of blue in Pack 2 as we’ll be fed from players who should be in green and/or black.
Pack 1 Pick 10:
Glare of Heresy
Vulpine Goliath
Fade into Antiquity
Satyr Hedonist
Yoked Ox
Mountain
My Pick: Gods Willing
Pack 1 Pick 12:
Pharika’s Mender
Sedge Scorpion
Stymied Hopes
Forest
My Pick: Sedge Scorpion
Can’t give the player on the left all the good cards!
Pack 1 Pick 13:
Two-Headed Cerberus
Deathbellow Raider
Island
My Pick: Deathbellow Raider
Pack 1 Pick 14:
Spellheart Chimera
Mountain
My Pick: Spellheart Chimera
Pack 1 Pick 15:
Plains
My Pick: Plains
Pack 2 Pick 1:
Master of Waves
Mogis’s Marauder
Ordeal of Heliod
Coordinated Assault
Lagonna-Band Elder
Ray of Dissolution
Prescient Chimera
Spark Jolt
Unknown Shores
Sip of Hemlock
Defend the Hearth
Traveling Philosopher
Dragon Mantle
Swamp
Wingsteed Rider
Foil
My Pick: Master of Waves
Talk about a great first pick! Master of Waves is obviously one of the best rares in the format and is also in our colors. Considering we’re pretty much trapped in blue at this stage, it’s nice to pick up a good blue card after being cut pretty hard in Pack 1. There’s also a Wingsteed Rider in the pack which would be great for our deck but I highly doubt it will wheel. Hopefully the Ordeal of Heliod or Prescient Chimera wheels.
Pack 2 Pick 2:
Swan Song
Flamespeaker Adept
Chronicler of Heroes
Chosen by Heliod
Pharika’s Cure
Divine Verdict
Wavecrash Triton
Gods Willing
Leonin Snarecaster
Opaline Unicorn
Spark Jolt
Commune with the Gods
Traveling Philosopher
Island
My Pick: Traveling Philosopher
This may seem crazy but I took the Philosopher here and I think it was correct. Obviously Divine Verdict, Wavecrash Triton and Gods Willing are all better cards but I have zero two drops. Two drops are VERY important in this format as you’re looking to curve out better than your opponent especially in a deck like this. While a 2/2 vanilla isn’t exciting, you need to establish a board presence and start pressuring your opponent. For what it’s worth, I prefer the Philosopher over the Snarecaster as the tap ability rarely matters and people are starting to realize Spark Jolt and Viper’s Kiss are good.
Pack 2 Pick 3:
Thassa’s Emissary
Flamecast Wheel
Prowler’s Helm
Boon of Erebos
Priest of Iroas
Wavecrash Triton
Viper’s Kiss
Prescient Chimera
Nylea’s Presence
Sip of Hemlock
Loathsome Catoblepas
Leafcrown Dryad
Island
My Pick: Thassa’s Emissary
Awesome pick up! Thassa’s Emissary is awesome in our deck as it works very well with Wingsteed Rider. I am surprised by the number of good GB cards still in the pack such as Sip of Hemlock and Leafcrown Dryad. There aren’t many cards in those respective colors that I would take over them so the player on my left must have opened something really good.
Pack 2 Pick 4:
Witches’ Eye
Pharika’s Cure
Divine Verdict
Demolish
Nylea’s Presence
Felhide Minotaur
Sip of Hemlock
Stymied Hopes
Silent Artisan
Titan’s Strength
Traveler’s Amulet
Plains
My Pick: Divine Verdict
The only playable card in the pack for our colors. Luckily, it happens to be a very good one!
Pack 2 Pick 5:
Gainsay
Time to Feed
Setessan Battle Priest
Demolish
Wavecrash Triton
Leonin Snarecaster
Loathsome Catoblepas
Benthic Giant
Annul
Commune with the Gods
Swamp
My Pick: Wavecrash Triton
A fine pick up but obviously not great and not a card I want to take this early. Is it possible that the person on our left is in the same colors as us?! Itâs pretty hard to imagine considering how many good green and black cards we were passing in Pack 1 but the last two packs both had a Sip of Hemlock in it and this pack has a Time to Feed
Pack 2 Pick 6:
Spellheart Chimera
Shredding Winds
Ill-Tempered Cyclops
Crackling Triton
Coastline Chimera
Thassa’s Bounty
Scholar of Athreos
Scourgemark
Titan’s Strength
Plains
My Pick: Shredding Winds
It seems like we have been completely cut! Obviously I had no choice but to hate draft here and I chose to take the Shredding Winds since the card is good against our two Wingsteed Riders
Pack 2 Pick 7:
Fate Foretold
Breaching Hippocamp
Nylea’s Presence
Opaline Unicorn
Defend the Hearth
Benthic Giant
Minotaur Skullcleaker
Mountain
Temple of Mystery
Foil
My Pick: Fate Foretold
I really wanted to take the Foil Temple of Mystery just for value but we’re short on playables so I had to take the Fate Foretold here. The card is pretty bad but works okay with our heroic creatures such as Wingsteed Rider and Wavecrash Triton and provides some insurance against removal. We don’t really have a choice.
Pack 2 Pick 8:
Cavern Lampad
Lost in a Labyrinth
Demolish
Unknown Shores
Triton Shorethief
Felhide Minotaur
Traveler’s Amulet
Mountain
My Pick: Cavern Lampad
Once again I had no choice but to hate draft. Both white and blue were being cut this pack. At this stage, it is clear that the player on our left is also on UW which is insane since it was pretty dry for us in Pack 1 and I don’t think I was feeding them anything good. It’s pretty crazy to imagine that they’re actually not on GB but I guess that’s what happened. Although both green and black are very deep, it is too late for us to switch to GB from UW. This is VERY bad for us as both the player on the right and on the left are in our colors so we’ll be fighting for enough playables to make a deck.
Pack 2 Pick 9:
Lagonna-Band Elder
Ray of Dissolution
Spark Jolt
Unknown Shores
Defend the Hearth
Traveling Philosopher
Swamp
My Pick: Traveling Philosopher
So neither the Ordeal of Heliod or Prescient Chimera wheeled for obvious reasons but at this stage we really need playables so Iâm thankful for receiving anything from this train wreck.
Pack 2 Pick 10:
Chronicler of Heroes
Chosen by Heliod
Leonin Snarecaster
Opaline Unicorn
Commune with the Gods
Island
My Pick: Chosen by Heliod
I prefer the aura to the Snarecaster as I have a few Heroic creatures and the Snarecaster is really bad unless you have a hyper-aggressive deck that can utilize its tap ability.
Pack 2 Pick 11:
Flamecast Wheel
Prowler’s Helm
Viper’s Kiss
Loathsome Catoblepas
Island
My Pick: Viper’s Kiss
Pack 2 Pick 12:
Witches’ Eye
Demolish
Felhide Minotaur
Plains
My Pick: Plains (misclick, should have been Felhide Minotaur
Pack 2 Pick 13:
Gainsay
Demolish
Swamp
My Pick: Gainsay
Sideboard card.
Pack 2 Pick 14:
Thassa’s Bounty
Plains
My Pick: Thassa’s Bounty
Pack 2 Pick 15:
Mountain
My Pick: Mountain
Pack 3 Pick 1:
Labyrinth Champion
Keepsake Gorgon
Triton Fortune Hunter
Thassa’s Emissary
Gods Willing
Fade into Antiquity
Lightning Strike
Nylea’s Disciple
Satyr Rambler
Disciple of Phenax
Pharika’s Cure
Akroan Crusader
Setessan Battle Priest
Forest
Leonin Snarecaster
Foil
My Pick: Thassa’s Emissary
Third Thassa’s Emissary! Triton Fortune Hunter is also very good but we have enough three drop creatures already and we need more Heroic enablers so I chose the Emissary. This pack is VERY good with cards like Keepsake Gorgon, the best uncommon in the set and one of the best cards overall, as well as Lightning Strike and Labyrinth Champion which are both first pickable cards if you’re in red.
Pack 3 Pick 2:
Cutthroat Maneuver
Ordeal of Erebos
Nylea’s Emissary
Messenger’s Speed
Breaching Hippocamp
Deathbellow Raider
Fade into Antiquity
Opaline Unicorn
Lagonna-Band Elder
Thassa’s Bounty
Satyr Rambler
Fleshmad Steed
Satyr Hedonist
Mountain
My Pick: Lagonna-Band Elder
So Pick 2 and we already have nothing! Lagonna-Band Elder is obviously quite bad and unlikely to make the cut but it’s the only remotely playable card. Having to pass cards like Keepsake Gorgon, Ordeal of Erebos and Nylea’s Emissary just hurts so much as had we known the player on our left isn’t on GB, we could have switched and still ended up with an insane GB deck. I assume they’re regretting the decision as well as they’ll be forced to pass them along.
Pack 3 Pick 3:
Fanatic of Mogis
Evangel of Heliod
Defend the Hearth
Agent of Horizons
Leafcrown Dryad
Lagonna-Band Elder
Boulderfall
Yoked Ox
Time to Feed
Hopeful Eidolon
Pharika’s Cure
Vaporkin
Swamp
My Pick: Hopeful Eidolon
Pretty sweet pick here. Hopeful Eidolon works REALLY well with Wingsteed Rider as it helps us create a mini-Baneslayer Angel. The Eidolon is pretty underrated as people see it as a one-mana 1/1 Lifelink but it’s actually a lot closer to Unflinching Courage then to Trained Caracal. I consider the Eidolon to be the second best white common after Wingsteed Rider
Pack 3 Pick 4:
Vanquish the Foul
Artisan’s Sorrow
Portent of Betayal
Fleetfeather Sandals
Breaching Hippocamp
Unknown Shores
Fade into Antiquity
Annul
Lagonna-Band Elder
Spearpoint Oread
Scourgemark
Forest
My Pick: Vanquish the Foul
Not a very good card as conditional removal is always poor but there really isn’t much else in this pack for us. Most likely going to end up in the sideboard but we may have to play it main if we end up short on playables.
Pack 3 Pick 5:
Flamecast Wheel
Unknown Shores
Dragon Mantle
Sedge Scorpion
Borderland Minotaur
Traveling Philosoper
Returned Phalanx
Thassa’s Bounty
Leonin Snarecaster
Prescient Chimera
Plains
My Pick: Prescient Chimera
This was a great pick for us as we needed more evasive creatures. Since blue was cut in Pack 1, I assume the person on our right is in blue so being passed this Chimera is a true blessing.
Pack 3 Pick 6:
Pharika’s Mender
Gods Willing
Breaching Hippocamp
Opaline Unicorn
Felhide Minotaur
Ill-Tempered Cyclops
Titan’s Strength
Stymied Hopes
Setessan Battle Priest
Swamp
My Pick: Gods Willing
Works well with our heroic creatures and protects our men from removal. I have found that people still play around combat tricks pretty poorly so Gods Willing can often lead to some blowouts.
Pack 3 Pick 7:
Temple of Deceit
Chronicler of Heroes
Artisan’s Sorrow
Agent of Horizons
Unknown Shores
Nylea’s Disciple
Fleshmad Steed
Fate Foretold
Plains
My Pick: Temple of Deceit (Raredraft)
Nothing playable for us other than a Fate Foretold which I don’t really want a second copy of. Might as well mise some value!
Pack 3 Pick 8:
Artisan’s Sorrow
Spark Jolt
Traveler’s Amulet
Mnemonic Wall
Traveling Philosopher
Ill-Tempered Cyclops
Feral Invocation
Swamp
My Pick: Traveling Philosopher
Not sure if the third Philosopher will make the cut but there really isn’t anything else in the pack for us to take.
Pack 3 Pick 9:
Gods Willing
Fade into Antiquity
Satyr Rambler
Disciple of Phenax
Setessan Battle Priest
Forest
Leonin Snarecaster
Foil
My Pick: Gods Willing
We have enough two drops now so I don’t need to take the Snarecaster. Gods Willing is a much better card overall.
Pack 3 Pick 10:
Messenger Speed
Opaline Unicorn
Thassa’s Bounty
Fleshmad Steed
Satyr Hedonist
Mountain
My Pick: Fleshmad Steed
Pack 3 Pick 11:
Defend the Hearth
Lagonna-Band Elder
Yoked Ox
Pharika’s Cure
Swamp
My Pick: Pharika’s Cure
Hatedraft the cards that are good against us!
Pack 3 Pick 12:
Fleetfeather Sandals
Unknown Shores
Scourgemark
Forest
My Pick: Scourgemark
Pack 3 Pick 13:
Traveling Philosopher
Returned Phalanx
Plains
My Pick: Traveling Philosopher
Maybe we didn’t need to take this over a Divine Verdict in Pack 2 if they were going to wheel so easily like this! People still underestimate/don’t respect two drops!
Pack 3 Pick 14:
Stymied Hopes
Swamp
My Pick: Stymied Hopes
Pack 3 Pick 15:
Plains
My Pick: Plains
My Pool:
1 Cavern Lampad
1 Fleshmad Steed
1 Pharika’s Cure
1 Scourgemark
1 Viper’s Kiss
1 Deathbellow Raider
1 Chosen by Heliod
2 Divine Verdict
1 Evangel of Heliod
1 Glare of Heresy
3 Gods Willing
1 Hopeful Eidolon
1 Lagonna-Band Elder
1 Observant Alseid
1 Ray of Dissolution
4 Traveling Philosopher
1 Vanquish the Foul
2 Wingsteed Rider
1 Fate Foretold
1 Gainsay
1 Master of Waves
1 Nimbus Naiad
1 Prescient Chimera
1 Stymied Hopes
1 Thassa’s Bounty
3 Thassa’s Emissary
1 Wavecrash Triton
1 Sedge Scorpion
1 Shredding Winds
1 Battlewise Hoplite
1 Spellheart Chimera
1 Temple of Deceit
1 Mountain
3 Plains
Final Deck:
Creatures
1 Hopeful Eidolon
2 Traveling Philosopher
1 Battlewise Hoplite
2 Wingsteed Rider
1 Observant Alseid
1 Nimbus Naiad
1 Wavecrash Triton
3 Thassa’s Emissary
1 Master of Waves
1 Prescient Chimera
1 Evangel of Heliod
Spells
3 Gods Willing
2 Divine Verdict
1 Chosen by Heliod
1 Fate Foretold
1 Ray of Dissolution
Lands
10 Plains
7 Island
Sideboard
1 Glare of Heresy
1 Lagonna-Band Elder
1 Vanquish the Foul
1 Gainsay
Deckbuilding was relatively easy as we barely had enough playables. Although our deck ended up pretty average due to a bunch of people fighting for blue and white, at least we have Gainsay and Glare of Heresy for the mirror.
Round 1-RW Heroic
In Game 1, I won the die roll and kept a solid hand of Traveling Philosopher, Wingsteed Rider, Wavecrash Triton, Gods Willing, 2 Plains and an Island. I led with turn 1 Plains while my opponent played a Mountain into Akroan Crusader. On turn 2, I played a Traveling Philosopher which he Lightning Strikeed and attacked with his Crusader. On turn 3, I drew into a Hopeful Eidolon and played a Wingsteed Rider. On his turn, he attacked with the Crusader which I took to play around any combat tricks he may have before he tapped out to played Flamespeaker Adept in his second main. Since he was tapped out, I could safely Bestow the Hopeful Eidolon on my Wingsteed Rider and from there he had no way to deal with the Rider and I managed to race him easily thanks to the lifelink.
In Game 2, I kept a hand of Wingsteed Rider, Master of Waves, Prescient Chimera, Glare of Heresy, 2 Island and a Plains. It was a little bit slow but I had Glare of Heresy to deal with any potential early white creatures and if I draw any two drop this hand becomes very good. Lucky for me, he mulled to 5 and went all in with a Turn 1 Soldier of the Pantheon into turn 2 Ordeal of Purphoros which I Glare of Heresy‘d. From there, he didn’t play any more lands while I played turn 3 Nimbus Naiad into turn 5 Prescient Chimera. When I cast Master of Waves on turn 6, he conceded.
Round 2-UG Midrange
In Game 1, I lost the die roll and mulliganed to 6 keeping Hopeful Eidolon, 2 Thassa’s Emissary, Ray of Dissolution and 2 Plains. My opponent led turn 2 Voyaging Satyr into turn 3 Nessian Courser while my first play was turn 3 Wingsteed Rider which I drew on the first turn. On his turn, he played an Ordeal of Thassa on his Courser and used Time to Feed to kill off my Wingsteed Rider before attacking me to 16. On my turn, I topdecked an Island and played a Thassa’s Emissary but he Voyage’s Ended it before adding a Nylea’s Emissary onto his board. I played Ray of Dissolution on Ordeal of Thassa and traded my Emissary for his but couldn’t find an out to his 5/5 Nessian Courser and eventually died to it.
In Game 2, I mulligained to 4 and kept Traveling Philosopher, Evangel of Heliod, Divine Verdict and Plains. After I failed to draw my second land on turn 2 and 3, I just conceded as there was no way I could beat him at that stage (he had a Voyaging Satyr and Nylea’s Disciple in play with 5 cards still in hand).
Overall the draft went pretty poorly but I don’t think there was too much I could do about it. We started off with a close choice between Thassa’s Emissary and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Although blue ended up being cut pretty hard, I think the pick was still correct as we only know that in hindsight and it could have easily gone the other way (i.e. black getting cut). I managed to pick up two great UW cards in my next two picks while passing some solid GB cards. From there, blue started getting cut while green and black was clearly open but I decided to stay on UW since I started off with three great cards and I had already passed too many good green and black cards that I assumed the player on my left would be on GB. Unfortunately, the player on our left seemed to have decided to be on the same colors as us as we say a ton of good GB cards being passed from the player on our left in Pack 2 while being cut hard from blue and white. Had I known that the player on our left wasn’t in GB after Pack 1, I could have still switched since both green and black are deep enough in this set that you can make a deck out of two packs. The problem was we only realized this after about eight picks into Pack 2 and it was too late by that stage.
We essentially got cut off UW from both the players on our right and left as we just managed to scrape enough playables for a deck. I assume that both the players on our right and left also ended up with pretty poor decks as we were all fighting over blue and white while the players opposite me probably picked up with all the good green and black cards (my opponent in Round 2 had a strong deck). It was a pretty weird situation where the player on our right for some reason decided to go into blue after passing us some sweet cards (like the late Nimbus Naiad) and the player on our left also chose to be in UW after I fed him so many good GB cards. The player on our left must have opened some sort of bomb rare in blue or white and decided to stay in those colors.
I hope you enjoyed this article and learnt some key points about drafting Theros. Hopefully you can use this information to help win your next draft-whether it’s a local FNM or even the Top 8 of a PTQ! As usual if you have any questions or feedback (doesn’t necessarily have to be about this article), feel free to comment here or tweet me @mtgzen. My next article will be on the 10th of November and I haven’t decided on a topic yet so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

P.S This is the deck I played at GameDay. It is VERY fun to play and is similar to playing Turboland from the old Standard Format (still one of my favourite decks of all time). The current list is quite untuned so I don’t recommend it for any big events but I think the deck has a lot of potential and I will be looking forward to working on it for the next few weeks!
